This park is located within Hardisty's town limits and features a lake and campground, as well as a pubic golf course, baseball diamonds and rodeo grounds. Park amenities include a sandy beach, large playground and picnic area, showers and washroom facilities, water slides in the lake, sand volleyball courts and boat docks and ramps. Open mid-April through September.
Peace Memorial Park in Wainwright maintains three ball diamonds, two tennis courts, a playground and a skatepark.
This provincial park was established in 1962 at the junction of Battle River and Big Knife Creek. It was an important area to the plains Indians and also home to a local character, "One-eyed" Nelson, who historically had a moonshine operation at the site. The Battle River, which winds through the park, is good for boating.
Golden Jubilee Park was established during Alberta's Jubilee celebrations, and is a lasting reminder of Alberta's first 50 years. Located near the centre of the city, the park also serves as an outdoor theatre during Canada Day and other special events.
Coal Lake North Provincial Recreation Area is located outside of Camrose and offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Canoeing and fishing are popular activities during the summer while ice fishing and snowmobiling dominate the winter months. Facilities include a fire-pit area, wood pile, washrooms and a water pump.
Located just outside Czar, Alberta Shorncliffe Lake Park features a wide range of recreational attractions such as a lake, boat launch, and picnic areas. The park is open from May to September.
Located just 1.6 km (1 mi) south of Hay Lakes, Telegraph Park is open for recreational use year round. This Lion's park features various day use areas, a stocked trout pond and seasonal camping facilities. The park is a popular spot for hiking, fishing and cross-country skiing.
Stoney Creek Park is a natural area that runs from 44th Avenue to the city limits. The park is known for its ski facilities and is a popular spot for cross-country skiing and biathalon training. During the summer, its extensive trail system is popular with hikers and mountain bikers.
2 km of walking trail winds around the Village of Alliance through trees and park areas.
Mirror Lake is one of Camrose's most popular spots, with numerous summer and winter activities taking place around its banks. Aside from regular events, the park is also home to a children's playground and is a picturesque place to enjoy an afternoon stroll.
